You can reset your password in the event that it has expired, or you have forgotten it.

Go to

Click on “Security” located in the blue navigation bar:

Click on the “Security Resources” link:

Click the button next to "ADE Single Sign On (Sign In to manage Active Directory Accounts)"

On the Login page, click the “Password” link located within the line that reads “Forgot your Username or Password?”:

In the User ID box, type your Cognos/eSchool username.  Do not include the APSCN or any \ symbols.  (i.e. 1703jdoe):

Click the “OK” button:

Within a few minutes you should receive an email from "" which will contain a 6-digit code that you will need to reset your password.

In the Username box, type your eSchool userame (i.e. 1703jdoe)  Do not include the APSCN or any \ symbols.

Enter the 6-digit code you received in the email.

Click the Submit button.

On the next screen, In the “Enter New Password” box, type a new password.

In the “Confirm New Password” box, retype your new password.

Click the “Submit” button:

ADE requires you to pick a password that is at least 20 characters long, contains at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter and 1 number.  It can not contain any symbols.  You cannot use three or more consecutive letters from your first or last name as part of your password, and you cannot reuse one of your six most recently used passwords.

Once the system accepts your newly chosen password, you should be able to sign in to either Cognos and eSchool using this new password
